The futures bright, the futures beige

Finally after months and months and even more months, it's finally been decided that the US will be opening their borders again to allow international travel. Now before we all go off and celebrate this comes with a few restrictions which considering what's going on in the world is to be expected.

I was hoping to get some clear and concise information and advice from the US Embassy website but that still thinks we're not allowed in at all. The availability of accurate, relevant information has been severely lacking throughout this pandemic and it still continues.
From 'early' November double vaccinated UK citizen will be able to travel to the US and from Oct 4th the red/amber/green lists are changing the way they work. The amber and green lists will be removed and the new system will split countries into red countries which you essentially can not holiday in, and countries which you can holiday in and travel to without having to isolate when you return to England if you are fully vaccinated. Within all of this are more rules and guidance on testing and quarantining. I'll be honest and say it still looks confusing to me but maybe that's because either I'm a bit thick or I just don't really understand any of it.
With this good news obviously all us Vegas fans were over the moon and promptly went and started booking holidays. We still had October booked but knew that wouldn't be happening . Funnily enough though Virgin cancelled our outgoing flight but kept the incoming. Luckily though I've managed to change the flights to mid-February at no extra cost. The plan was to celebrate Valentines Day but looks like we have the added of bonus of Superbowl. I'm really glad I booked the accommodation (Plaza) months in advance as I expect the prices to skyrocket.
Recently I've been watching Matt Bridger and it was great to see him back in Vegas. Pennys has also recently been there and as always had some quality content up on the YouTube. Maybe I'll brave a livestream next So much looks to have changed and I can't wait to experience it all again and share those experiences with you all.
As we all know, things still aren't great but this is the bit of good news a lot of us needed, I am hoping to meet up with people there for the first time and I know I miss quite a few other people around the whole month of February but you never know, there may be another trip in the pipeline.

Many people who follow me on Facebook and Twitter will know I've now got a new job (I'm a manager now) and currently studying for a clinical diploma in Pharmacy. As you can imagine these are taking up a lot of my time and so I thank you all for your patience with these blogs. I also want to thank the people sticking with my YouTube channel. As we run up to October I will be posting some videos as October/Halloween is my favourite time of the year. Another area of thanks is those who are listening, continuing to listen and sharing my Podcasts.
It's been quite difficult doing the podcasts, a recent poll confirmed what I thought - that I need to relax more. I was tempted to re-record episode 3 that will be out this Wednesday 6th Oct but decided against it. With episode 4 I've tried to record it all in one go so it flows better and doesn't sound like I'm reading from a script.
I've still have my merch on the RedBubble site and I may look at doing some designs incorporating popular slots when I get the time. As we get closer to Christmas I've also started doing custom Lego minifigures again so the extra income means more gambling money for February.

As I'm typing this I can see a squirrel on our fence. I'm half expecting a fast black cat (our Liquorice) to come flying in and take the poor squirrel out. And on that lovely final scene I'll say ta ra a bit and don't forget a new Podcast episode is released every Wednesday.
