Who here enjoys shopping?
Thought not.
However, I’m still going to go on about places to shop in Vegas because even with the exchange rate in the UK not being as good as it was you can still usually get a pretty good deal with some things if you shop around. We usually stock up on trainers, jeans and we’ll see what Vegas exclusive Pandora there is.
There are a couple of key shopping areas and I’ve tried to list them in order of budget from low to high.
North Premium Outlets
South Premium Outlets
Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood
Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian
Forum Shops at Caesars Palace
Fashion Show Mall
The Shops At Crystals by Aria
There is also Town Square which is South of the Las Vegas sign, a place we always intend to go to but never get round to it.
Everyone likes bargains and the Premium Outlets have them in abundance but to make it even better value for money then join their VIP Shoppers Club for even more offers and they also have an app you can download too.
They used to have a coupon book that you’d show you were a VIP member at the information desk and you’d get a coupon book for free, that may have changed at it seems there are now offers and coupons on the app and website. Quite a few of the shopping malls in Vegas have coupon books and this is what we would show at each venue. A big disclaimer here is I have no idea if this works anymore but there’s no harm in trying.
Whilst on the subject of coupons there two books you may be interested in as they contain vouchers for not just shopping and eating but also for free play and match play and numerous casinos. These books are ‘The American Casino Guide’ and ‘The Las Vegas Advisor Member Rewards Book’.

The American Casino Guide is available to purchase online from its website American Casino Guide or from places such as Amazon. There is also an app you can download which is particularly helpful this year as there won’t be a 2021 edition but many vouchers from the 2020 book are still valid and the app will show you which vouchers you can still use.

The Las Vegas Advisor Member Rewards Book is available from their website – Las Vegas Advisor where there are plenty of vouchers to download and print but to get the most out of this site you need to sign up for membership. There are 3 types of membership and you’ll need to join Diamond or Platinum for the book;

You can easily spend a whole day in any of these shopping areas and there are plenty of places to eat and drink too so they can keep you in there longer spending more money. Whilst in the Caesar Forum shops you can always walk towards (an inside) The Cheesecake Factory but before going in treat yourself to the show that is Fall of Atlantis. It’s free and on every hour on the hour, full of special effects and animatronics, fire, drama and….ok it’s a bit of fun to watch and it’s no Disney.
All the bargains are to be had at the North and South Premium Outlets, if you’ve ever been to Orlando then you’ll know what to expect. The North Premium Outlets has a Pandora selling Vegas exclusive charms, there are other Pandora stores throughout Vegas but here you may also pick up a bit of a bargain.

For the high-end designer stuff you’ll want the Fashion Show Mall and Crystals, there’s a few shops at the Fashion Show Mall I like such as Lego and Hot Topic but generally these two areas bring my wallet out in blisters so I think it’s allergic to them.
I’ve not mentioned Downtown much when it comes to shopping – yes Northern Premium Outlets is located in that vicinity but for the shopping ‘experience’ your best bet is the Container Park, there’s quite a few unique shops there from Jerky, to Vegan and Gaming. It’s not a massive place but it’s very pleasant and one of my favourite go to places of Downtown just to relax and people watch. You also have Pawn Plaza, next to the Gold and Silver Pawn shop made famous on TV, the Pawn Plaza has a few shops to look around but it’s usually pretty quiet. If you’re lucky you may get to see Chumlee in his sweet shop!

Not too far from Pawn Plaza there is Rogue Toys, an excellent sop selling old and new toys and memorabilia from the past. It’s a bit like the Toy Shack in Neonopolis (Fremont) but it’s got less stuff but much tidier and easier to look around. I filmed some of Rogue Toys in my 2019 vlog. You can even bring in your old toys and they’ll value and possibly buy them off you. Friendly staff and a fun place to pop into.
Venturing around Downtown Vegas like we do, we came across a place called Retro Vegas – it’s a vintage showroom of Vegas-style furniture and accessories from around the 60’s and also houses The Red Kat where you can buy vintage clothing and accessories. If, like us you venture even more around Downtown then you’ll find the Gamblers General Stores, it’s located at 727 S Main St. and is the world’s largest casino supply superstore, you can even buy Roulette and Blackjack tables but I couldn’t fit them in my hand luggage. The staff are friendly, there’s lot to see – and buy and it’s something very Vegas but off the beaten track.

So there you have it, a snippet of where to go to spend all that money you’ve won at the casino and where to go when you haven’t. There are many other places such as all the ABC stores for cheesy souvenirs (and decently priced alcohol), M&Ms World and Hershey’s Chocolate world but as with everything in Vegas and with these blogs, I could go on all day so as it’s Mothers Day I’ll leave you with a photo of my mom sitting outside a shop in New York New York called Stupidiotic that sells novelty gifts and gadgets.
